There is a sad story behind Liu Shi Han's gender changed and this exposure attracted the media's attention in January 2011. This transgender model gradually revealed and shared her sad childhood stories and love experience via the TV interviews and her Weibo.



Liu Shi Han's birth name was Liu Shuai 刘帅. He / She used to be a gentle and quiet boy who firmly believed she was a girl trapped in a boy's body. She said,

"I felt that my body was different. I should be a girl, I should go to the women's toilet. I felt a girl's soul came to the wrong body of a boy's."




"When I was only 8 or 9 years old, I thought if I died, I could start it all over again. So I copied what they did on TV, took a knife and slit my wrist. But each time I tried committing suicide, I got caught by my family and beaten up nicely.", said Liu Shi Han.



Liu Shi Han said that her mother actually wanted a daughter before she was born. Lin Shi Han's mother told her that she would turn into a beautiful princess at the age of 16. Liu Shi Han waited till that day that never came and she was heartbroken the night she turned 16. During school days, Liu Shi Han was an outcast and was always bullied by her classmate because she was too girly.




She added, "They ganged up on me, carried me to the bed and pinched my face, saying my skin was soft and fair, accusing me of disguising myself as a boy. They wanted to take my clothes off to see if I was a boy or a girl. I kept shouting, no, no. But they got more excited. They ripped my clothes off, bitten my shoulders and said my body was soft. I started to cry and I said don't bully me like this, I'm a girl."



It all started during her university when she felt in love with a boy for the first time. It was then, she started to consider a gender-change surgery and told the boy to wait for her 3 years in Changsha. However, her family strongly against it, beaten her up again, locked her in the room and cut off all her hair. But Liu Shi Han managed to escape and never returned home.






In order make a living and saving for her transsexual surgery that cost around 100,000 yuan during that time, Liu Shi Han started working at nightclubs as a pole and snake dancer by the name of "Lan Xi" (蛇女蓝熙) - "Lan" (Blue) which sounds like "Nan" (Boy) was to remind of her own idendity while "Xi" represents her first love's name, "Xiao Xi".



It wasn't easy dealing with snakes as she got bitten by them numerous times. It wasn't easy to be a girl either. In order to keep her body small and not growing like a boy, she bound her feet and wore small-size shoes. It was sweat-earned hard money.




Finally after 3 years of savings, Liu Shi Han earned substantial money for a transsexual surgery which lasted over 8 hours. Right before the surgery, she contacted her mother and she was asked to return home no matter what happened. Liu Shi Han's mother also helped her with the rest of the hospital fee. Once recovered from the surgery, brave Liu Shi Han was reborn and finally able to start a new life in Beijing as a beautiful female model.



Thereafter, Liu Shi Han had two boyfriends but she had to break up with them eventually because their parents disapproved of their relationships. For the same reason, Liu Shi Han had to break up with her last boyfriend after she revealed the shocking truth recently.




Liu Shi Han felt she had lost everything. Just because someone spread rumors which disturbed her families, friends and fans, which made her told the truth in order to stop all this. She said,

"I didn't kill people, I didn't break the law. Just because I had a gender identity disorder and had a kind of surgery, I've got discriminated and treated unfairly. I feel quite bitter inside. I don't want the society to treat me like a monster, everyone should be equal."
